Permutation Patterns 2025

Pre-Conference Workshop

The pre-conference workshop will take place on July 4th-5th, 2025 (the Friday and Saturday before the conference commencing on the Monday). You can choose to register for this workshop while registering for the conference.

The goal of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for our community’s large cohort of PhD students, and early career researchers the chance to share their work and talk to other members of the community.

Participants will be asked to share an open question or avenue of their research during the workshop that they would be willing to work on with the other participants during the brainstorming sessions. Vince Vatter will also give a brief background on permutation patterns and share some open problems in the field.

Details on the program, any preparations and organisation will be shared with the registered participants after the registration deadline has passed.

Venue

The workshop will be held in the School of Computer Science, Jack Cole Building in room 1.33a/b.

Times

The workshop will start at 09:30 each day, and end around 17:00. Please note that the Jack Cole Building is not open to the public. On Friday you will have to be let in by the Computer Science front office staff, on the Saturday it will be the organisers who will be manning the doors.
